The Atlanta Falcons will be facing the Carolina Panthers in Week 2, and there seems to be uncertainty on who will be the quarterback on the field for the game. Throughout the week, Cooper Rush and Michael Penix Jr. have been splitting first-team reps, but the former didn't play well in Week 1, and the latter still doesn't seem to be ready to come back to the field.

It's been a rough start for the Falcons at quarterback, especially when noting that Tua Tagovailoa was named the starter before Week 1, and his set to miss his second straight game after not practicing this week due to an oblique injury.

People are now looking at head coach Kevin Stefanski and think that he needs to right his wrongs somewhere in order to find some consistency at the position.

“The nightmare continues for Kevin Stefanski. He must be cursed. He definitely needs to do something and exorcise these demons,” Mike Golic Jr. said on his radio show.

“Overall, is it worse than the decades of quarterback situations in Cleveland? No,” Mike Golic Sr. said. But to not know who your quarterback is going to be of the three, is… 
I mean, you prepare all year long for the start of the season, and just the rug getting pulled out from underneath you, for a team that we thought may struggle anyway, because of a couple of defensive issues. Now, it's pull a name out of a hat to see who's going at quarterback.”

This is familiar to what Stefanski had to deal with during his time with the Cleveland Browns, and it felt like he always had a new quarterback every season.

It's uncertain what this situation could look like for the future, but after two weeks, it's not looking good.
