Milwaukee Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski is in the middle of a tremendous season. He's led the Brewers to the best record in the National League and Misiorowski is probably going to win the NL Cy Young Award. However, could Misiorowski make a run at the NL MVP Award?
Shohei Ohtani has won back-to-back MVPs in the NL. It looks like Pete Crow-Armstrong is going to become the first player aside from Ohtani to win an NL MVP since 2023, however. PCA has been incredible, and he is the current front-runner. MLB's latest NL MVP poll has Crow-Armstrong and Ohtani at No. 1 and No. 2 overall, but Misiorowski is currently tied for third with Elly De La Cruz

Misiorowski likely won't become the first pitcher to win an MVP since Clayton Kershaw in 2014, but he could realistically finish as an NL MVP finalist. If Misiorowski does finish within the top three of NL MVP voting, he will become the first pitcher since Kershaw in 2014 to finish as a top three finalist.
There are seasons in which Misiorowski's performance would be good enough to win the MVP. This season, he happens to be trailing a position player who is putting up jaw-dropping numbers as well as a two-way phenom.
Misiorowski's 1.86 ERA, 0.803 WHIP, 2.16 FIP and 247 strikeouts all lead the league. Although win-loss records do not mean what they once did for pitchers, Misiorowski's 15-5 mark still suggests he's helping this Milwaukee ball club find ways to earn victories on a consistent basis.
He's become arguably the best pitcher in the sport, and Jacob Misiorowski is on track to win the NL Cy Young Award while possibly finishing as a top three NL MVP finalist.
