Fans of the Irish rock band U2 will love hearing “Where the Streets Have No Name” in the background of the new football movie Mr. Irrelevant, which is about the late John Tuggle.

The latest trailer for the Paramount Pictures flick utilizes the 1987 hit with a twist. It begins with Bono's isolated vocals singing the opening line, “I want to run / I want to hide.” Brian Eno-like swelling synthesizers then lay the soundscape as Bono continues singing.

As the intensity of the movie ramps up, so does the song. A funky beat is laid over the original track as the trailer builds to its crescendo.

“Where the Streets Have No Name” is the lead track from U2's Joshua Tree album. It is their fourth most-played song, with 944 performances to date, according to Setlist.fm.

What is the Mr. Irrelevant movie about?

Mr. Irrelevant stars Superman actor David Corenswet, who plays Tuggle. The movie tells the true story about the last pick in the 1983 NFL Draft.

It was directed by Jonathan Levine, who is best known for directing Seth Rogen vehicles 50/50, The Night Before, and Long Shot. Nick Santora penned the script, and both he and Levine are credited as producers of the project.

Corenswet stars as Tuggle alongside Isabel May (Alexa & Katie and 1983) and Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals). David Krumholtz, Tuwaine Barrett, and Thaddeus LaGrone also star in it.

Tuggle was a running back for the Giants in 1983. He played college football at California before being picked last in the NFL Draft. Players chosen in that spot have been given the “Mr. Irrelevant” moniker.

Unfortunately, Tuggle's career was short-lived. He passed away on Aug. 30, 1986, following his football career. Tuggle moved to California before he died in Mexico.

Mr. Irrelevant will be released on Dec. 25.
