The Cleveland Guardians enter Thursday’s elimination game with a pitching setup that could give them their best opportunity to extend the ALDS vs. the Chicago White Sox.
The Guardians’ Game 4 pitching plan starts with left-hander Parker Messick on regular rest, while Chicago will lean on another bullpen-heavy approach. Foul Territory took to X, formerly Twitter, Thursday with a clip of The Athletic’s Zack Meisel explaining why the matchup favors Cleveland.
“This game four was always the game that was going to be set up most favorably for Cleveland because they've got Parker Messick on regular rest, he's their ace, and the White Sox, with their pitching chaos and leaning so heavily on the bullpen, they've got to do this for a second day in a row.”
