With Odell Beckham Jr. on his way out, another Giants receiver is on his way up.
New York is signing Braxton Berrios to its 53-man roster, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Berrios has served as the team’s returner for the season’s first three weeks while on the practice squad. Out of elevations, the team had to sign him to the active roster for him to continue in that role.
Berrios has averaged 6.0 yards per punt return and 27.6 yards per kick return on the young season.
He’s appeared in 94 games with six starts in eight seasons for the Jets, Dolphins, Texans, and Giants. Berrios has caught 140 passes for 1,360 yards with six touchdowns.
