The New York Giants made an addition with a trade on Monday. But they awaited feared bad news about Brian Burns. And John Harbaugh confirmed the worst about Burns’ ACL injury, according to a post on X by Adam Schefter.
“Giants' John Harbaugh confirmed that OLB Brian Burns tore his ACL vs. the Titans and will undergo season-ending surgery.”
Burns suffered the injury in the Giants' lackluster 12-7 win over the Titans on Sunday. He is an eight-year veteran with 71 career sacks. Last year, he racked up 16.5 sacks with 31 quarterback hits and earned the third Pro Bowl honor of his career. This year, he was held without a sack in three games.
