The Atlanta Falcons will host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football this week. After struggling early in the season, the Falcons bring a 2-2 record into this game. The Ravens own a 3-1 record through four games. Both teams are tied for first in their respective divisions.

Lamar Jackson was recently ruled out, and that changes the entire dynamic of this game. Tyler Huntley is an extremely valuable backup quarterback, but there’s a massive gap between him and Jackson.

This game is going to come down to who has more success running the ball. Atlanta currently leads the NFL, running on 56.5% of their offensive plays. Baltimore ranks third (53.1%) in the same category.

Ravens vs. Falcons Week 5 Best Bets

Our Current Best Offers

The Ravens have found plenty of rushing success with Derrick Henry this season. Huntley can replicate some of what Jackson can do with his legs, but he isn’t the same threat, specifically when throwing the ball.

The Falcons have quietly been the best defense in the NFL against the run this season. They’re holding their opponents to only 2.7 yards per carry, although that has quite a bit to do with their schedule. They did hold the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers to only 127 yards on 38 carries.

Atlanta could be returning some defensive starters who have missed recent games as well. The main key to their defense is their speed, which should help with QB runs throughout this game.

On the other side, the Falcons feature one of the best running games in the NFL. Bijan Robinson is arguably the best running back in the NFL, and Brian Robinson is an elite complementary piece. Overall, the Falcons are averaging 5.2 yards per carry in 2026.

The Ravens have looked outstanding against the run, holding their opponents to only 3.9 yards per carry. Those numbers are a bit inflated by matchups against the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans, though.

Javonte Williams averaged 5.2 yards per carry against Baltimore earlier this season, totaling 98 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries. Jonathan Taylor posted a nearly identical line, recording 98 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries.

Both teams are going to lean heavily on the run game, and I prefer Atlanta’s run game here. Pushing at a field goal is a key here.
