India defeated West Indies by 14 runs in the third T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on October 11 to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. West Indies skipper Shai Hope won the toss and elected to bowl first.

India posted 223 runs in 20 overs, with Abhishek Sharma top-scoring with 69 off 30 balls, including six fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 230. Ishan Kishan contributed 37 off 18 deliveries, while Tilak Varma scored 28 off 16 balls. However, India lost wickets at regular intervals towards the end of the innings, with Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer and Naman Dhir falling cheaply. For West Indies, Roston Chase, Shamar Joseph and Shamar Springer picked up two wickets each.

In response, West Indies finished at 209/7 in their 20 overs, falling 14 runs short of the target. Kamil Pooran scored 42 off 27 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer contributed 43 off 26 deliveries. Sherfane Rutherford added 32 off 20 balls, but Shamar Springer's unbeaten 35 off just 11 deliveries could not take the visitors over the line. For India, Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets for 44 runs, while Naman Dhir picked up two wickets for 39 runs.

Abhishek Sharma was India's standout batter, scoring 69 off 30 balls at a strike rate of 230. His innings featured six fours and five sixes and provided the early momentum India needed to post a competitive total.

Arshdeep Singh led India's bowling attack with three wickets for 44 runs in four overs. His dismissals of Shai Hope, Sherfane Rutherford and Keemo Paul helped India prevent West Indies from completing the chase.
