Christian McCaffrey will be hitting the field with a new title on his hands — a father of two.
Ahead of the San Francisco 49ers matchup against the Seattle Seahawks for Week 5, McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, welcomed their son, Roman Augustus McCaffrey.
In a joint Oct. 10 post on Instagram, the supermodel and NFL star revealed that they welcomed their second child together. In the first photo of the carousel post, the former Miss Universe is holding Roman in the hospital bed as she looks in awe of her newborn. In the second photo, Culpo is back home with the couple's first child, daughter Colette Annalise McCaffrey, whom they welcomed in July 2025. Colette is seen looking at her baby brother as all three of them lay on the bed together.
Christian is in the third photo holding Roman in the hospital as he gazes at his newborn with a huge smile on his face. Culpo then shared more photos of herself at home with Roman and Colette including a close-up black-and-white image of the newborn. In the photo dump, the couple poses for a selfie in the hospital before Culpo gave birth with the NFL star wearing a hospital gown and plastic head covering.
The couple ended the post with Culpo outside holding Roman in her arms and Colette looking up at her mom. The post revealed that the pair welcomed their son on Sept. 29 in the caption.

Back in May, the couple announced that they were expecting their second child together, writing in the caption, “Best birthday gift Baby #2 coming soon.”

Culpo got candid about welcoming another baby before the couple's daughter celebrated her first birthday. The supermodel shared in a video on TikTok in May that she discovered she was four weeks along in her pregnancy with her son at six months postpartum.
“I did not think that this was going to happen the way that it did,” she shared at the time. “I am so fortunate to be able to bring another child into the world. Few things that have been running through my mind, ‘cause I just really didn’t plan on this at all. … Well, I hope that this baby is healthy.”
While it was a surprise to her she felt better knowing that other women have also have “done this before.”
“In the beginning, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, can I even do this? Is this allowed? Like, what’s gonna happen?’” she said. “I just wish that I had planned a little better.”

The 49ers running back got candid about parenthood with Culpo, whom he married in June 2024.
“It’s the best, man,” McCaffrey told Us Weekly in February. “Good day or bad day, you come home and seeing her smile takes all the pressure off. It takes all the worries of life away. It’s been the biggest blessing in our life.”
Now that the couple's good news is out, McCaffrey and the undefeated 49ers will be heading to Seattle to face the Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. ET today (Oct. 11).
