The Jacksonville Jaguars got an emotional victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, 19-17. Jacksonville kicked a field goal to win the game as time expired. While Cam Little kicked the 57-yarder to win, it was another player who emerged as a hero.
That is the team's long snapper, who had to step in and replace an injured player.
“WITH A BACKUP LONG SNAPPPER WHAT A WIN FOR THE JAGS,” Pat McAfee posted to X, following Jacksonville's win.
Jaguars long snapper Ross Matiscik was hurt on Sunday. He is dealing with a shoulder injury. Jacksonville instead had to bring in defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton to replace him, per ESPN.
Hamilton got the job done, even though it was a rocky performance.
