The defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in an unfamiliar position. Los Angeles trails the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, 2-0. A former Major League Baseball player is giving Dodgers fans some hope ahead of Game 3.

“A week ago the Guardians got their butts kicked at home (and) had to go to Chicago facing elimination. We’re coming home,” Jerry Hairston Jr. posted to X, formerly Twitter. “Affordable (tickets) for games 3 (and) 4?!? Dodger Stadium is gonna be rockin!”

Hairston is referring to reports that said ticket prices had gone down for Dodgers' NLCS games at home. Ticket prices reportedly decreased following the first two games of the series, USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported.

Hairston played for the Dodgers from 2012 to 2013. He played for many teams in his MLB career, and won a World Series with the New York Yankees in 2009.

The Dodgers find themselves stunned after losing back-to-back games in Milwaukee. These two teams have gone at it before in the MLB Playoffs, with the Dodgers always coming out on top.

“We've just got to play better baseball,” Dodgers catcher Will Smith said, per MLB.com. “It's a long seven-game series. … Win the next game, and we'll go from there.”

Milwaukee has found a way to dominate with their bullpen in this series. The Dodgers have scored just five total runs in this series so far.

The Dodgers are even considering sitting Shohei Ohtani for Game 3.

“Yeah I mean obviously it hasn’t been good,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, per MLB.com. “He doesn’t feel great. I think for me, it’s having a conversation with him tomorrow, kind of try to figure out what’s best for him, what’s best for us. He certainly has earned that conversation and deserves it.”

Los Angeles and Milwaukee play Game 3 of the NLCS on Wednesday.
