The Milwaukee Brewers' bullpen has played an important role in the team's success in the National League Championship Series so far against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Brewers lead the series 2-0 at the moment. Abner Uribe continues to pitch well while Trevor Megill is a reliable closer. One reliever who does not always receive as much attention but has been stellar is Aaron Ashby. Ashby received a shoutout from Mark DeRosa on MLB Network on Tuesday, however.

DeRosa broke down Ashby's success. He gives Milwaukee an extremely reliable left-handed option out of the bullpen. According to MLB Network, Ashby has a 1.18 ERA since the beginning of August.

Overall, Ashby pitched to a 3.12 ERA across 75 appearances during the 2026 MLB season. He was solid for most of the year, but Ashby has been spectacular in recent months. Milwaukee has one of the best bullpens in the game, and Ashby is a big reason as to why that is.

Of course, the Brewers are playing the two-time defending championship Dodgers. This series is far from over. Milwaukee took care of business at home, but the series is now set to shift to Los Angeles for three consecutive contests.

It remains to be seen if the Brewers will be able to continue to find success on the road. They certainly have momentum right now, but the Dodgers are going to be ready to bounce back at home. Milwaukee's bullpen will need to continue performing well without question.

Game 3 of the NLCS is scheduled for 8 PM ET on Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium.
