Ole Miss took care of business against LSU on Saturday. In the game, Trinidad Chambliss was a star. He completed 33 of 48 passes for 363 yards and accounted for three touchdowns. The win over LSU has placed Chambliss in the driver's seat to win the Heisman Trophy in 2026.

Now, David Pollack, a former college star and NFL player, is explaining why Chambliss is the best quarterback in college football.

“He's the best quarterback in the game. That was honestly the difference in the game. When you watch it, like, it's not Ole Miss's receivers. It's not their offensive line. Their defense had some good moments. They've got a great kicker who missed a kick. Like, we can go down the list of all these different things. Trinidad is so much better than everyone else,” Pollack said. “He makes it look easy. It's crazy how easy it makes it look. I don't think his heart rate ever gets up. He's just a flatliner.”

This year, Chambliss has passed for 924 yards and seven touchdowns, while also running for another 64 yards and two touchdowns. He also kept making big plays for Ole Miss against LSU. In the first quarter, it was a 30-yard pass that set up Ole Miss on the five-yard line and led to a Kewan Lacy touchdown. In the second quarter, he threw two touchdown passes to make it a 24-7 lead.

Even after LSU made a comeback, after Chambliss had thrown an interception and Ole Miss missed a field goal, he was calm and collected. He was five for seven for 56 yards, plus ran in what would be the game-winning touchdown from 14 yards out.

The win catapulted the Rebels up the rankings, but they have a big test this week. Ole Miss is an underdog against Florida in their Week 4 matchup on the road.
