The Cincinnati Bengals face a difficult challenge in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season. Cincinnati will go head-to-head with Houston and could be without QB Joe Burrow due to a back injury. That will put the Bengals' offensive line under a lot of pressure ahead of this huge matchup.

Texans general manager Nick Caserio heaped praise on the Bengals offensive line ahead of their Week 2 matchup.

“Yeah I think this is a good example of like, there's a bunch of narratives out there that are really false. I mean, their offensive line has done a good job,” Caserio said during an interview on the team's YouTube account. “They got Orlando [Brown Jr.] and [Amarius] Mims at tackle. Really, Ted Karras has kind of solidified things inside. Ted was a sixth-round draft pick but now he's been in the league 10, 11 years. He's smart as hell, he's instinctive, he's tough. Then [Dylan] Fairchild looks like he's kind of come on and then they inserted [Dalton] Risner late so they have continuity.”

That sense of continuity must have Caserio jealous. After all, Houston just rebuilt their offensive line this offseason.

Caserio also complimented Burrow's ability to make the most of his offensive line while in the pocket.

“Honestly, I think there's a little bit of a myth about their offensive line,” Caserio added. “It's a good, solid group. Joe [Burrow] does a really good job of getting rid of the football, moving within the pocket. He presents different challenges than Josh Allen. Not that he's necessarily not a runner, but Joe makes more of his plays from the pocket. But he has the subtle ability to move and if there's yards there to get with his legs, he has the sneaky athleticism to where he can do it. So you have to account for that.”

The Bengals only allowed one sack in Week 1 against the Buccaneers. The o-line looked more than capable in that matchup.

“Their offensive line did a good job the other day against Tampa Bay. So again it's a good solid group, whatever people think,” Caserio concluded. “I mean, maybe I'm watching different film but overall it's a pretty solid group.”

Hopefully Cincinnati's o-line lives up to these expectations against an aggressive Houston defense in Week 2.
