The New England Patriots’ 45-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders improved their record to 3-2 for the 2026 NFL season. However, the win came with an unfortunate setback as Patriots left tackle Will Campbell was forced to leave the Week 5 game early. The team has yet to provide an official update on his condition, yet a report has offered some encouraging news for New England fans.

Mark Daniels of MassLive reported that veteran offensive tackle Morgan Moses shared a positive update about Campbell's condition after the game.

“Morgan Moses said that Will Campbell is in good spirits and that it was a blessing to watch him walk out of the building today,” Daniels wrote.

Campbell suffered the injury during the first half when running back Rhamondre Stevenson was tackled onto Campbell's right leg. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Campbell is believed to have suffered a knee sprain and is expected to miss some time.

Campbell is now scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the initial assessment and determine the extent of the damage. The results should provide a clearer picture of his condition and help establish a potential recovery timeline.

Campbell previously suffered an MCL injury in the same knee last November. His previous injury adds more uncertainty to the situation, though it remains unclear whether the new knee sprain is connected to his earlier issue. The Patriots will likely wait for the MRI results before determining the next steps in his recovery.

Rookie first-round draft pick Caleb Lomu replaced Campbell for the remainder of Sunday's victory over the Raiders. With Campbell's availability for the upcoming game uncertain, Lomu could receive an opportunity to take over the starting left tackle role if the veteran is unable to return.

The Patriots are scheduled to face the New York Jets in Week 6. The Patriots fans will surely hope that the MRI results bring encouraging news and that its starting left tackle can join his teammates soon.
