The Philadelphia Eagles earned a 24-20 Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans, but did not leave Nashville completely unscathed. Tight end Dallas Goedert sustained a sprained MCL and is not expected to play in Week 3. With Eli Stowers also dealing with an injury, the tight end room in Philly is running a bit thin. So, in comes Zach Ertz.

Reports indicate that the Eagles are bringing back the 35-year-old to the team due to the injury woes with Goedert and Stowers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. However, the catch right now is that Ertz is signing with the practice squad.

“Three-time Pro-Bowl tight end Zach Ertz, who played in Philadelphia from 2013-'21 and helped the team win its first Super Bowl, is returning to the city and signing with the Eagles practice squad, per sources,” Schefter reported. “The Eagles lost TE Dallas Goedert to a sprained MCL and now are turning to Ertz, who spent the past two seasons in Washington.”
