The Philadelphia Eagles are currently dealing with a three-game losing streak. After opening the season with a 2-0 record, Jalen Hurts and his team have now dropped to 2-3. Amid the team's struggles, Hurts has confirmed the calf injury he sustained during Week 4.
During his Wednesday press conference, Hurts told the media that he suffered the calf injury in the Eagles' game against the Los Angeles Rams.
“Jalen Hurts confirmed the calf injury. Jalen says he was late coming out after the team came out because he was trying to work on the calf and get it ready to play. He says he hurt his calf in the Rams game,” John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reported.
The Eagles did not list Hurts on their injury report until Friday last week, when he was marked as a full participant despite dealing with a calf injury. He was also late coming onto the field in London ahead of the team's Week 5 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
However, Hurts remained relatively tight-lipped, choosing not to reveal much about what happened before the game or how the issue developed.
“It was a very unique experience, to say the least. I don’t want to get into the details of kind of leading up to the game and whatnot, but got nicked up in the Rams game,” Hurts said.
Hurts remains a central figure in Philadelphia's offense. Hence, his health is an important factor as the team attempts to end its losing streak.

Meanwhile, Hurts was again listed on the Eagles' Wednesday injury report with a calf injury. However, the Eagles' starting quarterback participated fully in practice.
Hurts’ full participation offers some reassurance, though it does not necessarily mean the issue has completely resolved. Fans will likely continue to look for further updates on his condition before their game against the Carolina Panthers.
