It has been a disastrous season for Florida State football. They lost their third straight game this past weekend, dropping to 3-5 on the season. This led to Florida State firing Mike Norvell as the head coach.

Now the Seminoles are getting more bad news, this time concerning wide receiver Duce Robinson, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.

“Florida State star wide receiver Duce Robinson will miss the remainder of the season, as he suffered a torn ACL against Clemson. He leads FSU with 438 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns,” Thamel posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Robinson left the game against Clemson and did not appear in the second half of the game. He did appear on the sideline during the second half, working out with a brace on his knee on the sideline. He had two receptions for 31 yards in the game against Clemson before the injury. Still, the receiver had put up some big numbers this year. Against Alabama, he brought in six receptions for 135 yards and a score in the loss. Then, he hauled in five catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Miami. Overall, he has 24 receptions for 438 yards and four scores.

Robinson began his career at USC in 2023. In his two years with the Trojans, he hauled in 39 receptions for 747 yards and seven touchdowns. He transferred to Florida State for the 2025 season. That year, he brought in 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns. With the new five-year rule for the NCAA, Robinson will have one more year of eligibility if he chooses to return to college.
