Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green made sure Brandin Podziemski received his share of recognition alongside rookie Yaxel Lendeborg following Monday night's 134-114 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

While Lendeborg stole the spotlight with a career-high 31 points, Green emphasized Podziemski's contributions after the Warriors secured their first victory of the 2026-27 NBA season.

Speaking during his postgame news conference, Green praised both young players for stepping up when Golden State needed them most, as captured in a video shared by ESPN's Anthony Slater on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“BP was really, really, really good as well. His cutting, his force he played with. Plus-33, that's nuts,” Green said. “So just to see those two young guys carry – I think we're all talking about Yaxel and that's great. He was incredible but him and BP carried the load tonight and that was special to see them two young guys coming into their own and playing the way they're playing. We're gonna need that so both of those guys played really well.”

His plus-minus rating of plus-33 led Golden State, highlighting his impact throughout the 20-point victory.

Lendeborg also recorded a plus-31 rating, giving Golden State two young contributors who made significant impacts on both ends of the floor.

Their performances provided an encouraging development for a Warriors team that entered Monday's matchup searching for answers following three consecutive losses to begin the season.

Green's comments underscored the importance of Golden State receiving consistent contributions from its younger players as the team looks to establish momentum.

Now sitting at 1-3, the Warriors will attempt to build on their first victory when they conclude their three-game road trip against the Minnesota Timberwolves (3-1) on Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT.
