The Indianapolis Colts were in a battle with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2, but were not able to come out with a victory in overtime. It was a back-and-forth game, but everybody knows that when the Chiefs get the ball in the final moments, it's hard to stop them. This time, the Colts had a chance to win the game with the ball in their hands last, but couldn't capitalize.

It wasn't much of the offense's fault that the Colts lost, but it was the defense that had a few blunders throughout the game. People watching the game were confused, and that included former NFL player Darius Butler, who called out the Colts' coaching staff and players.

“Boy…these COVERAGES stink!!! Very confused as to what tf we’re doing back there. Has to be a disconnect from the coaching staff to the players,” Butler wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

If there is a disconnect going on within the team, that's not good news, especially this early in the season. The Colts did look like a team that didn't know what was going on at times on defense, but Patrick Mahomes will also make any team look like that at times.

Pat McAfee also didn't hold back on his former team and shared that the defense has been awful through two weeks of the season.

“The defense is historically awful. Over 1,000 yards of offense has been run against our defense in two weeks. That's a record. You know who was first before that? The Seahawks in 1976,” McAfee wrote on X.

Just last week, Derrick Henry scored three touchdowns on their defense, and he was having a field day. This week, Mahomes was able to get almost anything he wanted. Next week, they play the Houston Texans, who are trying to find their first win of the season.
