Once close friends, rather best friends, Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov no longer share the same feelings. The war between the two friends began over the multi-million-dollar sale of the Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey brand. Lobov asserted that he was the original inventor of the whiskey and claimed an unhonored verbal and financial agreement for a 5% stake in the company. The dispute erupted into lawsuits and public accusations, with Lobov openly criticizing McGregor.
Earlier this week, McGregor's former teammate and friend, Artem Lobov, claimed that McGregor is only continuing to fight to ‘support his habits,' as a response to McGregor's recent last fight comments.
McGregor returned earlier this year but was ruled out of the fight within 69 seconds after suffering an ACL injury. Now, with just one fight left in his contract, McGregor hopes to fight his last match next year in 2027.
When a fan responded to Lobov's comments by claiming that McGregor took care of him, the Russian fighter claimed that McGregor “took care of nobody.” Lobov claimed that the UFC veteran “f**ked over his coach” and others.
“He took care of nobody, he fucked over his coach and all his best friends Lee, Derek, Gerry Vegas, Charlie myself and others Shook hands on different deals that they brought in, money came in but he didnt pay what was promised. And he got Proper Fucked on his whiskey deal that I negotiated and his manager Audie stole from him and me. I showed him unmatched loyalty, I dont say that lightly as a 40 year old man.
“He got 100M for Mayweather what did John get??? 100K if even, meant to be 5% but he never paid that for any of his fights. He fired his best mate Derek father of 3 kids, weeks before Christmas over something Derek said that Conor didnt like.Paid Lee, the founder and director of Maclife 500 euros per week before tax for years, agreed to pay Gerry 10K at the start + 10K at the end of the camp, then wouldnt pay the 2nd 10K. Thats just a few examples.

Conor was my brother, I loved him like one. All the truth and facts will come out. Drink, drugs and no accountability is what brought all the troubles into his life. All of this allegedly of course,” he added.
Lobov’s remarks, coming right after McGregor ignited discussions of a comeback, suggest that the Russian still harbours resentment towards the Irishman over how their relationship concluded.
