On Sunday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves improved to 3-0 with a blowout win over the Toronto Raptors in their first home game of the season. The Timberwolves have now destroyed three straight postseason teams from a year ago to open up their season and look like a real potential threat in the Western Conference.

The Timberwolves also reached a franchise milestone with Sunday's win over the Raptors, as the team now has an all-time winning percentage of 0.42148, which moves them just ahead of the Brooklyn Nets franchise and out of last place in the NBA, per ionospheremutt on Reddit.

While they've been among the best regular season teams in the league for the last several years, Minnesota was long viewed as one of the NBA's symbols of ineptitude, really only having two relatively prosperous eras in its history, including the current one as well as when Kevin Garnett was in uniform.

The team certainly won't be hanging a banner for no longer having the worst winning percentage in NBA history, but it's still a nice monkey to get off their back nevertheless.

Meanwhile, the current iteration of the Timberwolves looks to have most, if not all, of the ingredients in place to give the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs a run for their money out West, although Anthony Edwards' continued knee issues are certainly something to keep an eye on.

LaMelo Ball has looked right at home in his new threads so far, and Jonathan Kuminga has also proven to be a solid free agency addition.

The Timberwolves will next hit the floor on Monday for a road game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
