The Colorado football team is mired in another disastrous season in the Big 12. Colorado is 0-3 in the conference this season, after losing yet another game on Saturday. Colorado bowed to Houston, 27-24.
Following the loss, the pressure is mounting on embattled Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. A new report has Sanders on the hot seat, despite a massive contract buyout.
Sanders is looking at a $26 million buyout if fired soon, On3 reported. The Buffaloes are just 2-4 this year, with four straight losses.
Things weren't supposed to go this way for Sanders. There was immediate buzz when Sanders took the Colorado job in 2023. He has posted two losing seasons in his first three years, while helping lead Colorado from the Pac-12 to the Big 12 conference.
The Buffaloes were nearly able to pull off a huge upset over Utah on Saturday. Colorado's upset bid came up just short.
“Just the way we fought to the end, there was no give-up,” Sanders said, per the school. “And not only the players, but the coaches, the support staff, there was no give-up whatsoever.”
