Boston Red Sox pitcher Payton Tolle features a bright future and was previously a top prospect. The Red Sox love his talent. Additionally, the team loves who Tolle is as a person. Fans agree. Tolle's fun-loving personality has made for many memorable moments early in his big league career.

“Honestly no,” Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy responded when asked if he's come across a more delightful personality than Tolle's, via MLB Network Radio. “I love the way he goes about it… Everybody can see this, it's not rocket science when I say this, but that guy genuinely enjoys pitching. He enjoys competing… He's a great competitor by the way. He doesn't like to not do well.

“But he doesn't take himself too seriously…  He appreciates the moment, he appreciates the God-given abilities that he has, and he appreciates the ability to go out on the stage and showcase that. That's who he is. That's the same guy in the dugout when he's not pitching. He's just a joy to be around… He lifts everybody up around him.”

Tolle has made a significant impact for the Red Sox. He clearly helps the team feel loose and comfortable just by being himself. A 3.02 ERA across 25 starts will certainly not hurt matters either, though. He also has 166 strikeouts across 143 innings of work on the mound up to this point.

Payton Tolle will look to continue to play a crucial role for this Red Sox ball club with the MLB postseason right around the corner.
