The Arizona Cardinals sure feel at home at SoFi Stadium. The Cardinals took down the Los Angeles Rams 18-16 on Sunday in a game where they scored with all field goals and no touchdowns.
The NFL Stats account on X, formerly Twitter, shared that the Cardinals have joined an exclusive NFL club. They became just the ninth team in the last 20 years to score six field goals and no touchdowns, but still win the game.
NFL reporter Ari Meirov also shared a wild stat about the Cardinals. They've actually won more games at SoFi Stadium (two) than both the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, who call the stadium home, have (one).
The Cardinals comfortably beat the Chargers 26-14 in their season opener at SoFi Stadium. The Chargers have yet to win a game at home (or anywhere else) since as they remain one of two winless teams in the NFL.
Article Continues BelowAs for the Rams, Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett broke down how they were able to win without scoring a single TD. The Cards were able to control the ball (they had a 35-25 advantage in possession minutes) and go on long drives, which was able to give their defense ample rest. The expert kicking of Chad Ryland, who went a perfect 6-of-6, also helped.
The Cardinals currently find themselves ahead of the Rams and Chargers, who were both playoff teams last season. It's a major disappointment for the two LA teams given their rosters and expectations. As things stand, SoFi Stadium may not get too many more games of significance featuring either LA team this season.
