The Chicago Bulls may be in the bottom tier of the NBA in wins and losses. However, Caleb Wilson is the shining light.
While the Bulls are off to a meager 1-7 start, Wilson has been fairly consistent. He has put up numbers that have placed him in the same category as some of the greats, and he is just a rookie. On Sunday, the Bulls faced the Philadelphia 76ers at home. In the process, Wilson added to that legend by surpassing a Bulls rookie feat once held by Derrick Rose, per Novig.
He became the fastest player to achieve the most points in franchise history after nine games.
Wilson has scored 167 points in this stretch, while Rose scored 166 in his rookie year in 2008.

It is just the latest in a stretch of epic numbers that Wilson has put up as his rookie year continues to unfold. Recently, Wilson joined Allen Iverson as the only NBA rookies to score 150+ points, make 15+ 3-pointers, and record 10+ steals in their first seven games. Furthermore, Wilson finished behind Michael Jordan for the most points scored by a Chicago rookie in their first three games. Jordan leads with 74, while Wilson finishes with 67.
After eight games, Wilson is averaging 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Recently, Rose, the 2009 Rookie of the Year, has developed a strong appreciation for Wilson. Rose showed up to training camp to mingle with Wilson and fellow rookie Dailyn Swain. Knowing that Wilson has the weight of the city on his shoulders, he continues to amaze with his unquestioned desire and talent.
