Bears quarterback Caleb Williamsâ next touchdown pass will be the 50th of his career. As long as he throws his next touchdown before throwing three interceptions, heâÂÂll join some very good company.
Williams has 49 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his career. Only two quarterbacks in NFL history, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes, have reached 50 career touchdown passes while having 15 or fewer career interceptions. Williams is likely to become the third.
It wonâÂÂt be easy on Sunday, when Williams will have his hands full against a Vikings defense that relentlessly pressured Packers quarterback Jordan Love in Week 1.
Williams says he and the Bearsâ offense expect to score on every drive. One drive ending on a touchdown pass on Sunday would add another significant accomplishment to his growing career résumé.
