Cleveland Browns linebacker Carson Schwesinger suffered a lower-leg injury during Sunday's 17-12 loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. After the game, the defensive captain was spotted wearing a walking boot while leaving the locker room, but the team has not provided an official update on his condition.

Despite the injury scare, Schwesinger refused to let adversity get the better of him. The 23-year-old recorded eight tackles, sacked quarterback Geno Smith and forced a fumble on the play. He briefly visited the blue medical tent during the game before returning to the field.

Schwesinger became the second Cleveland starter seen in a walking boot after the contest, joining running back Quinshon Judkins, who was wearing one on his right foot. Judkins finished with 44 rushing yards on 14 carries and added three receptions for six yards.

The Browns' injury concerns extend beyond Schwesinger and Judkins. Rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion exited during the first quarter with a head injury after a collision involving New York safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Offensive tackle Tytus Howard also sustained an injury and was unable to complete the contest.

Cleveland entered Week 5 with seven players already ruled out, including defensive tackle Mason Graham, who was dealing with knee and ankle injuries, and defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., who had an ankle injury. The other absentees were defensive tackle Kalia Davis, quarterback Dillon Gabriel, offensive lineman Teven Jenkins, tight end Carsen Ryan and wide receiver Tylan Wallace.

Schwesinger's potential absence would create another concern for a defense already missing Graham. Quincy Williams, who accumulated 10 tackles and forced three fumbles against the Jets, could be tasked with stepping into the breach if his teammate cannot play.

The Browns will return to action in Week 6, hosting the Baltimore Ravens at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday for an AFC North clash.
