Denver Broncos escaped Thursday Night Football with a 17-14 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks that saw Sean Payton's team record dismal, record lows offensively. Bo Nix raised questions as he reached an NFL stat low not seen in two decades, leading to commentary the day after by Broncos legend Chris Harris Jr.
Harris Jr. pinned the blame on the Broncos' offense as he pontificated on his point.
“I can't say it's just Bo, you gotta say it's the whole totality of the offense,” Harris Jr. said. ” You can see sometimes we have a clean pocket but receivers might not be open. You see times where Bo's just not lettin' it go, not lettin' it loose. We see times where he's just not bein' able to process the defense fast, then he'll just quick and throw a checkdown, not trusting the whole play.
“And then, the run game, I think they're averaging three yards a carry, that's not good…They've gotta find a way to unlock (Jaylen) Waddle…I wouldn't just say it's Bo Nix, it's the totality of the whole offense, they gotta get it together.”

Lost in the speculation and finger-pointing was the play of defensive coordinator Vance Joseph's defense, which Payton praised after it forced two Sam Darnold interceptions and recovered a Denver fumble.
The Broncos are living a charmed life at 4-2 and trudging forward into what could be a playoff run. Nix and his teammates have time to get it together, but it must happen soon to stave off challengers in the rough AFC West.
