The Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays are scheduled to play Game 4 of the American League Championship Series on Friday night. However, Game 4 is currently in a rain delay. Regardless of when the game is played — whether it is late Friday night or on Saturday — the Guardians will enter the matchup with a 2-1 series lead. Cleveland was the underdog heading into the series, but the Guards have been confident nonetheless.

“We know that we can beat anyone,” Guardians pitcher Tanner Bibee told reporters ahead of Game 4, via MLB Network Radio. “I feel like we (Cleveland pitchers) have some of the best stuff in the Major Leagues. I think everyone is starting to see that now… I think it's just being consistent, as even keel as possible.

“That's the main thing right now, especially in the playoffs and tensions can get a little high, and there's a lot of energy and adrenaline.”

Bibee started 33 games during the regular season. He was inconsistent, though, and has made just one appearance out of the bullpen so far in the postseason. Cleveland is turning to a bullpen game on Friday, however. Shawn Armstrong is the scheduled starter, but Bibee could receive some innings out of the bullpen.

Winning Game 4 — whenever it is played — would give the Guardians a huge advantage in the series. They know the Rays will not go down quietly, though. There's a reason Tampa Bay won 98 games during the regular season after all.

Nevertheless, the Guardians are confident and ready to make a serious World Series push.
