Coach Brian Schottenheimer's 2-3 Dallas Cowboys are planning to welcome Green Bay for a Week 6 tilt that raised a Jerry Jones-answered question about whether Dallas is wasting Dak Prescott's prime years. Coach Brian Schottenheimer's recent Christian Parker revelation revealed that he is at odds with Jones with the Cowboys one week away from a showdown against Nick Sirianni's Eagles.

Schottenheimer spoke to media about the Eagles' decision to sign former Cowboys fan favorite, and former Tennessee Volunteers and Michigan Wolverines quarterback, Joe Milton off the team's practice squad in light of Jalen Hurts' scary blood clot issue.

“I think it's a great opportunity for Joe,” Schottenheimer said. “They recognize this is a young man with incredible talent. I think the world of Joe, so I'm sad to see him go. I hope he gets every opportunity.”

Milton has played in five NFL games, including four with the Cowboys, compiling 424 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He has one of the NFL's strongest arms, although his accuracy and decision making have been works-in-progress. He will now have an opportunity to learn from Hurts, Tanner McKee and Sirianni on an Eagles team that has been struggling with injuries as of late.

Schottenheimer's Cowboys are hoping to score an upset victory over the Packers with star receiver CeeDee Lamb giving an encouraging injury update recently. The Cowboys, and their head coach, will miss Milton, but the Eagles offer a chance for him to learn from some of the best offensive minds in the NFL.

Dallas fans will likely continue to root for him, at least when he's not playing their team, in the foreseeable future as the NFL season continues.
