The Los Angeles Dodgers will not win a third straight World Series. The Dodgers were eliminated from the MLB Playoffs after being swept by the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS. The Brewers will be heading to the World Series for the first time since 1982.

While the series went just four games, it set viewership records, per Fox Sports PR.

“2026 NLCS on FOX & FS1 draws best average viewership for an LCS on any network since 2015,” Fox Sports PR posted on X, formerly Twitter.

It was noted that 7.533 million viewrs turned in on average for the 2026 NLCS on Fox, FS1, and Fox Deportes. That was a 77 percent increase from the 2025 ALCS on Fox through four games. Over six million viewer turned in to NLCS Game 4 on FS1 and Fox Deportes, which was the most-watched LCS Game 4 on any network since 2018, and up 107 percent from Game 4 of the ALCS last year on Fox.

MLB viewership numbers were up across the board this year. Fox saw their best increase since 2021, while NBC had a huge first year broadcasting MLB since the 2000 season.

Still, there has to be some concern for Fox about the World Series. In the last two seasons, the World Series has averaged over 15 million viewers, but the Dodgers played in both series, while the New York Yankees played in 2024. Still, the 2023 World Series had the worst viewership numbers by average. That year, it was the Texas Rangers against the Arizona Diamondbacks. With the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays facing off in the ALCS, one of those two teams will be in the World Series. This means two small-market teams will be playing in the World Series, and that could impact viewership.
