With the Milwaukee Brewers reaching 100 wins this season, the team has cemented itself as the top ball club in the NL Central, though other teams in the division are going through success of their own. As the Brewers prepare for the upcoming playoffs, designated hitter Christian Yelich would give his thoughts on the season that Chicago Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong is having and the similarities between the two.

Crow-Armstrong would snag his 40th stolen base in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins for Chicago, giving the 24-year-old a 40-40 season, as he also has 45 home runs. His production would catch the attention of Yelich, whose MVP season in 2018 and even his 2019 season have been compared to what the Cubs star has been doing.

“He's probably the best defender in the game right now, and it'd be hard to find another hitter that's going as good as he is,” Yelich said, via ESPN. “He's had a great year and a special year for him.”

In 2018, Yelich would record 36 home runs and 16 stolen bases, while 2019 saw Yelich log 44 home runs with 30 stolen bases, as the Milwaukee slugger was asked if there are comparisons, with him giving more credit to Crow-Armstrong.

“Yes, without the defense. That's what makes him really, really special — is being able to combine the two,” Yelich said.

When it comes to Yelich this season, it has been a relatively frustrating one, recording a .236 batting average to go along with 12 home runs and 58 RBIs, admitting it hasn't been a good year, with the hope he turns it around in October.

“My focus is just trying to get right and get to a place where you feel good so I can contribute in October,” Yelich said, according to The Wisconsin State Journal. “There’s (four) days left. It is what is at this point. There’s no point dwelling on it or getting pissed. It was a (expletive) season. So at this point, it’s like, (expletive) it, let’s get ready for October.”

It remains to be seen if Yelich turns it around in October, as Milwaukee has championship aspirations.
