Brawl Stars Byron Guide – Which Star Powers & Gadgets are the best?

Overall, Byron has two gadgets:

  • Shot In The Arm – “Byron uses one of his shots to heal himself every second for 3 seconds.”
  • Booster Shots – “Byron's next attack shoots 3 darts instead of one, each dealing less damage and less healing.”

Additionally, Byron has two Star Powers:

  • Malaise – “Byron's Super will also cause opponents to receive less healing from any source for a limited time.”
  • Injection – “Every few seconds the next basic attack will pierce through targets.”

Furthermore, Byron can use the following gears in battle:

  • Speed
  • Vision
  • Health
  • Shield
  • Damage
  • Gadget Cooldown

*We are not including any Epic or Mythic Gears in any of these guides.

Brawl Stars Byron Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup

Firstly, for Gadgets, we like Shot In The Arm. Byron is a healer, but he needs to heal himself too, am I right? Overall, he has a very small health pool and can get wiped out by most brawlers in two-to-three hits.

Secondly, for Star Powers, Injection seems to be the better option. Malaise is nice, but it's only at its best when you play against a team that has another healer. With Injection, it always seems to work well. You can potentially poison an entire team, making it much easier for your team to take them down.

Lastly, for Gears, we like the Shield and Damage Gear. We always recommend these gears for most brawlers because they tend to help in any situation. Overall, it never hurts to have extra health and deal extra damage.

Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use Byron in (And Which Modes You Shouldn't)

Duo/Trio Showdown

Byron is a good healer to have in Duo and Trio Showdown. With Injection, he can heal a teammate and damage an enemy with one shot. Furthermore, his Super works great if you need to heal a teammate who's too far away or if you're chasing after a low-HP foe.

Brawl Ball

Article Continues Below

Byron works surprisingly well in Brawl Ball. While I still prefer Poco, Byron's healing and Super make him a nice support teammate to have. With Injection, he can pierce multiple targets. Furthermore, his Super can help heal multiple enemies/teammates at the same time. Regardless, make sure to pair him with a tank like Primo who can take most of the hits.

Brawl Stars Byron Guide – What Mode(s) Should I NOT Use Byron In?

Heist

Overall, Byron's low DPS and health make him an okay pick in Heist at best. Essentially, he will likely struggle to survive so deep in enemy territory, and he doesn't deal enough damage as a defender to ward attackers away.

Gem Grab

Byron just does not possess enough HP or moves to make him viable in Gem Grab. Additionally, he has no method of escape should he decide to make a run for the Gems. However, his long-range attack and Super at least make it a bit easier to take down opposing gem carriers. But good luck pushing through the map with Byron's low health pool.

Hot Zone

Lastly, Byron struggles in Hot Zone. Firstly, he does not have enough HP to hold down the zone. Secondly, his attack size is too small to guarantee hits on enemies in the zone. However, his Super can cover the area, though Byron won't always have access to it.

Overall, that wraps up our Brawl Stars Byron Guide!
