The Toronto Blue Jays are fiercely fighting for October. With five games remaining, every game counts.
On Tuesday, it was reported that their matchup against the Baltimore Orioles was postponed because of bad weather, per Mitch Bannon of The Athletic.
As a result, both teams will play a doubleheader at Camden Yards in Baltimore. The Blue Jays are currently 77-80 and in 4th place in the American League East Division. Meanwhile, the Orioles are 76-81 and last place in the AL East.
At the same time, Toronto is 5th in the American League Wild Card standings. Their division rivals, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, are ranked 1st and 2nd.
Both have already clinched a playoff spot.
Overall, Toronto is in a fierce battle for a spot alongside the Chicago White Sox and Clevland Guardians. In the grand scheme, Toronto has the slimest chance of securing one of the final playoff spots.

Thereby effectively eliminating Toronto.
It's a far cry from where things stood last year. Toronto made an improbable run to the World Series. Then they fell short to the Los Angeles Dodgers in an exciting seven-game series.
Both Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer have seen their numbers go down. Toronto has dealt with a string of pitching injuries.
After Baltimore, Toronto will close out the season in three games at home against the Cincinatti Reds.
