On Monday night, the Chicago Bears picked up a mightily impressive home win over the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 27-7, despite playing with their third-string quarterback Case Keenum. Keenum was able to turn back the clock against the Eagles' vaunted defensive unit, helping the Bears push their record to 2-1 on the season in the process.

Now, the Bears have gotten a key schedule update regarding their upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers in two weeks.

“NFL schedule change: Bears at Packers in Week 5 is being moved from 4:25pm ET to 1pm ET. Seahawks-49ers will now be the marquee matchup in the 4:25pm ET window on FOX. Change is made with Caleb Williams likely out and the Packers’ rough start to the season,” reported NFL insider Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team on X, formerly Twitter.

Indeed, the Green Bay Packers have been a disaster so far on the 2026 NFL season, recently getting blown out at home by the Atlanta Falcons, so it's not a shock to see the NFL not want to subject a national audience to their ineptitude in a prime slot.

Meanwhile, the Bears will still likely be without Caleb Williams at that point in the season, and although Keenum played well on Monday, he and Tyson Bagent are not exactly the same marquee draw as the former number one overall pick.

Still, Bears fans have to be encouraged by Keenum's ability to not only hold down the fort, but largely thrive on Monday night against a seemingly strong opponent.

Chicago will next hit the field on Sunday at home against the New York Jets.
