As the Atlanta Dream prepare for their WNBA Finals matchup with the Golden State Valkyries, their star guard's status remains uncertain. According to a report by Anna Costabile, Gray is a game-time decision, as she is listed as questionable on the injury report.
“Allisha Gray is still listed as questionable on the IR. She’ll get the yes or no from training staff after going through warmups,” Costabile posted on her X account.
ESPN's Kendra Andrews followed up on Gray, and Gray provided an update on her health.
“Gray is still waiting on a final answer from the training staff on her status, she said. But she came out of warmups feeling good. Her hand does not hurt, she says, and the tape she is wearing on her pinky and ring finger are not impacting her shot.”
Gray injured her left ring finger in Game 1 of the Dream's semifinals matchup against the Liberty. Following Game 1, she did not play in the following two games. The Dream went on to sweep the Liberty and advance to the WNBA Finals. According to WSB-TV's Allison Mastrangelo, Gray revealed she had a “minor procedure” on her hand, but she didn't specify what it was.
