The No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide is set to take on the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday with the goal of snapping a two-game losing streak. Going into the contest, however, defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was officially given a one-game suspension.

Reports indicate that the junior is being suspended for violating team rules, according to Charlie Potter of BamaOnLine, an affiliate of On3 Sports. Exactly what those team rules are is currently unknown, but he will not be playing in Week 8 against Texas A&M.

This will be Kirkpatrick's first missed game of the 2026-27 campaign. Additionally, this is the second time in his collegiate career he has been suspended, as he was limited to eight games last season after being suspended for an on-campus arrest in November 2025.
