The No. 6 Indiana Hoosiers held off the Michigan Wolverines for a 13-6 Week 8 win in overtime. It was an incredibly ugly performance for the offense, as the program struggled to move the ball down the field against the Wolverines. Regardless, the victory proved to be an historic one for Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers.
Reports indicate that this is the first time in 57 years Indiana earned a victory in the Big House, according to Chris Vannini of The Athletic. The Hoosiers managed to accomplish that feat despite only throwing two passes in the second half, with one being an interception.
“Indiana threw two passes after halftime,” Vannini said on X. “One was an INT, and the Hoosiers beat Michigan 13-6 in OT. Indiana's first win at Michigan in 57 years.”
