Andy Ruiz Jr BEATEN: Reaction as former champion makes rematch plea

Andy Ruiz Jr was beaten in a big upset by Damian Knyba.

Ruiz Jr, who is notorious for beating Anthony Joshua in 2019, returned after signing with Eddie Hearn, and was looking to push towards heavyweight honours.

But he was beaten in a shock upset by Polish giant Knyba, who boxed his way to victory.

Ruiz Jr found himself on the canvas in a flashpoint in the seventh round and was almightly close to being stopped.

But somehow he came back into the fight showing immense powers of recovery.

Ultimately it wasn’t enough as he was too far behind on the scorecards, and now faces a tough decision over his future.
