Aaron Ramsey tipped for international job as Arsenal icon undergoes final coaching course
Aaron Ramsey has been backed to become Wales’ national team manager in the future.
However, the former midfielder will have to wait at least another two years for the opportunity.

Current national team boss Craig Bellamy has committed to the role until 2028 despite receiving offers from elsewhere.
Bellamy has been in charge of Wales since 2024, but was unable to guide the team to this summer’s World Cup.
Instead, his side will face Ghana and Romania in friendlies this month.
Ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Ghana in Cardiff, Bellamy has tipped Ramsey to follow in his footsteps one day.
The 35-year-old has already helped out the national team in a coaching capacity in the past.
Ramsey retired from professional football in April, having left Mexican side UNAM Pumas in October last year.
Ramsey tipped for role
When asked if he thinks his former Wales and Cardiff City team-mate has the coaching bug, Bellamy made a bold prediction for his managerial career.
Referencing his spell with the national team, he said: “That wasn’t much of a taste, it was helping out, but he’ll be a coach.
“I’m pretty sure of it and I’m pretty sure one day you’ll be speaking to him here (as Wales manager). That’s my opinion, by the way. I’m not recommending anything happens before you jump.
“I just believe he’s going to be that talented and I believe he’s going to be a big asset to whoever he’s with and I’d like to see that with Wales one day.

“I don’t know when, could be two years, four years, 40 years, but I believe we might see that one day.”
Ramsey has already started working towards receiving his coaching qualifications.
He is currently completing a UEFA Pro Licence course, the highest level coaching certification in European football.
Meanwhile, he previously had a brief spell as Cardiff’s caretaker manager at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Ramsey oversaw the final three games of his former club’s Championship campaign.
As a player, Ramsey also had spells with Arsenal, Juventus, Rangers and Nice as well as scoring 21 goals in 86 caps for Wales.

Those caps include appearances at three major tournaments after featuring at Euro 2016, Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.
At club level, Ramsey won ten trophies having been a Serie A champion with Juventus after winning three FA Cups in four seasons at Arsenal – scoring in the 2014 and 2017 finals.
