$2bn ballpark announces MLB first that will ‘set new standard’ for baseball

The Athletics are staying committed to their vision of doing things differently in Las Vegas.

Ground was broken on their new $2 billion stadium in June last year, and they remain on schedule to get it operational for Opening Day of the 2028 MLB season.

Ownership has already been locking up multiple young stars over the past two offseasons, and with Nick Kurtz making his mark, it’s an exciting time to be an A’s fan.

They say everything is bigger and better in Las Vegas, and the latest stadium announcement shows the A’s are changing the way fans experience games.

The Athletics, restaurateur Will Guidara and Aramark Sports + Entertainment have revealed plans for the all-new ‘Athletic Club’.

The club will be an all-inclusive hospitality space accessible exclusively to A’s premium season ticket members.

It will include a private restaurant, and supper club with a multi-course, table-service menu, as well as an upscale lounge featuring small plates, craft beer, curated wines and premium cocktails.

Each game will be serviced from maître d’s, sommeliers and dining concierges.

Guidara is spear-heading the project, and spoke about his proposed plans.

“What we set out to build here is something a little different – a space around a simple idea what if getting to the stadium early became one of the best parts of the night,” Guidara told FOX5Vegas.

“Some of the best moments in life happen around a table. It’s where people slow down, share a drink, tell stories and settle into each other’s company.

“We wanted to bring that spirit into the ballpark, and create a place where gathering together is part of the experience, not just a stop along the way to the game.”

Guidara is the author of Unreasonable Hospitality, a former co-owner of the Best Restaurant in the World, and a co-producer on the Emmy Award-winning series The Bear.

The A’s have also announced the Diamond Club, an all-inclusive social space for premium ticket members.

This area will be located adjacent to the Athletic club, behind home plate, and will feature Vegas-inspired food stations, locally curated dishes, chef’s specials and elevated game-day food options.

“Vegas is truly a one-of-a-kind market, and we set out to introduce an entirely new level of hospitality that matches the energy and spectacle of the city,” Aramark Sports + Entertainment President and CEO Alison Birdwell added.

Gaining access to these exclusive clubs is set to be a challenge in itself.

Tickets will go on sale this month to those on the priority access list. Fans interested in securing them must then schedule an in-person appointment at the Ballpark Experience Centre.

“The Athletic club is about providing fans with something innovative and unique that exists only in Las Vegas,” A’s president Marc Badain said.

“By partnering with Will and Aramark, we’re setting a new standard for baseball hospitality.”
