You can try WHOOP for free and smash your January health goals – includes free band

It can be tempting to throw money at New Year’s fitness resolutions, but WHOOP can help you get 2026 off to a healthy start without paying a penny.

The wearable fitness and sleep tracker that has helped millions of people improve their recovery and boost performance is offering a 28-day free trial, so you can test a certified pre-owned WHOOP 5.0 device and peak membership for free.

Inspired by fans of the brand like Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, I recently reviewed the WHOOP 5.0 and found it such a useful fitness aid that I’m still wearing it.

The WHOOP 5.0 is the best tracker I’ve ever used for sleep, and when I sleep better I find that I can run faster, lift heavier and make better food choices.

Why should you get a WHOOP 5.0 free trial?

If you already have a smartwatch, you may wonder what you can gain from a screenless fitness tracker, but the key thing about the 28-day free WHOOP trial is that you can explore everything it has to offer with no commitment.

As long as you return the device and charger if you think it’s not for you, there’s nothing to pay.

I’ve been using one for three months and I genuinely couldn’t be without it.

Weighing just 26.5g with a sleek and streamline design, I barely notice the WHOOP 5.0 being on my wrist at night.

I’ve found myself becoming addicted to the WHOOP app, which I look at every morning for sleep scores.

The app provides sleep, strain, and recovery scores that indicate how well-rested I am, so I know when to push my body hard in a training session and when to ease off to avoid overtraining and injury.

While you might think that you don’t need a device strapped to your wrist to tell you if you’re up for training (which I was guilty of before I tried it), I can tell you that when I ignored what the device was showing me I fell ill with a cold.

Also, seeing my recovery stats in the cold light of day made me want to make tweaks to my behaviour to improve my sleep.

Although smartwatches offer sleep data, it’s not as detailed as what you can see in the WHOOP app and there’s no red, amber or green colouring to show you if you’re nailing sleep or not.

For me, seeing amber scores in the WHOOP app – rather than green – made me cut down on alcohol and introduce a no-screen winding down policy, which both really improved my sleep and how I felt the following day.

Overall, the WHOOP made me stop thinking about sleep as something I “should” do and started making me “want” to do it and that’s been improved my health and fitness massively.
