Xander Zayas vs Jaron Ennis: Date, start time and where to watch world title fight
Xander Zayas is set to lock horns with Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis in one of the biggest US boxing fights of the year this summer.
Zayas puts his unified WBA and WBO super welterweight belts on the line against former WBA and IBF welterweight champion Ennis, who goes in search of world titles in a second separate weight class.

Ennis had been in negotiations to face Vergil Ortiz Jr in a highly anticipated bout.
However, Ortiz Jr’s manager, Ricky Mirigan, took exception to the purse being offered to his client.
Tensions boiled over when Ortiz Jr sued his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, alleging breach of contract and “interference with economic advantage” as justification to have his deal voided.
De La Hoya then launched a countersuit against Mirigan for “behind-the-scenes interferences” with Golden Boy’s contract.
As a result, the fight fell apart, and Ennis has since moved on to face Zayas for two of the four pieces of the undisputed puzzle.
Zayas vs Ennis: Date and where to watch
Zayas and Ennis will square off on Saturday, June 27, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Zayas vs Ennis: What has been said?
Zayas said: “It’s always been about legacy. Becoming the youngest world champion at 22 when I did it.
“Youngest unified world champion. And now fighting one of the best in the world in the division. It’s about legacy.
“Anybody could have taken the easy route and just get an easy win, and that’s it. I want to fight the best.
“I want to show that I’m the best every time I step into the ring. And that’s what I’m going to do on June 27.”
Ennis added: “I think Xander bit off way more than he can chew. Come fight night, he’ll see.
“I’m going to show everyone that I’m the best in the world.
“You can watch my fights, but when you get in the ring, it’s a whole different story.
“I’m faster than you think. I’m stronger, and I have a better IQ, too. He’s going to be in for a long night.”
