Not only did Liverpool lose a third consecutive match in all competitions, they did not have a single shot on target against PSG.

But they will return to Anfield this week after beating Fulham 2-0 at the weekend thanks to strikes from Rio Ngumoha and Mohamed Salah.

Fans will dream of producing a huge comeback under the lights, with their iconic 4-0 win over Barcelona in 2019 springing to mind.

Bayern Munich or Real Madrid await in the semi-finals, but they must first defeat the reigning champions by three goals to progress.

Liverpool v PSG: What has been said?

Ngumoha was arguably the star of the show for Liverpool against Fulham at the weekend.

He delivered an excellent curling finish to open the scoring, and Arne Slot has hinted at handing him a start against PSG.

“I think he is ready,” he said. “The question is can he do this two days later? Would he be able to play at that level? Yes.

“It’s not like at the beginning of the season when he was a young player getting experience of the first team. Now he is someone I can pick for any game, so also Tuesday.”
