Tyson Fury reveals current weight for comeback with one stone lost since Oleksandr Usyk rematch

Tyson Fury has suggested he is already at his target weight ahead of his comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov.

The ‘Gypsy King’ has been in Thailand in recent weeks as he begins his training camp for his most recent return to the boxing ring.

Fury retired after back-to-back defeats against Oleksandr Usyk, but later made a swift U-turn and is preparing for a big and active 2026.

The first step of his comeback will be a showdown with Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11, in a bout which could land in Manchester.

He is extremely excited for his return and has been building hype towards the clash by giving fans an insight into his preparations.

And it was no different as he stepped on to the scales, documenting exactly what he weighs.

He wrote: “Already on weight nine weeks out. I’m seriously going to smash Arslanbek Makhmudov.”

The scales showed that he tipped the scales at 18 stone 11 pounds [263lbs].

It seems him already 18lbs lighter than he was for his second meeting with Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.

Fury bulked up to his career heaviest for his second clash with the Ukrainian, 281lbs, but despite putting up a challenge he was edged on the scorecards.

In previous training footage, the boxing community had shown concern over his bulky looking physique.

But it is clear he has been putting in some serious grind, to try and get himself back in shape to launch a new assault on the heavyweight division.

Fury’s training – could it be different after Usyk defeats?

The former two-time world champion was trained by Sugar Hill Steward for his defeats to the masterful unbeaten Usyk.

But it appears that Fury could well be coached by his father John moving forward.

He has suggested he will be an integral part of his camp, and will ensure focus is on getting into peak physical condition, as opposed to going over boxing fundamentals.

Fury Sr said: “I am going to be more involved this time.

“And hear this, Tyson’s going to win the heavyweight championship for the third time, and you can bank your f***ing money on that!

“He’s not in fantastic shape, that’s bull****. But he will be.

“Have another look at him, because when I go out in the next week, there will be no more of this internet bull****, every move on the internet.

“Head down, work, and get a body. Learn to move again. Learn to twist and be awkward. Herky jerky.

“If it is fat, it matters. Anybody will tell you that. But listen, we know where we are going.

“I know where he went wrong. I know. And we are going to put it right.”
