Tottenham vs Man City betting tips and free bets: Selections for Sunday clash

The big Super Sunday clash in the Premier League comes from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Spurs seek to translate their excellent European form to domestic matters when they host a Manchester City side eager to keep tabs on league leaders Arsenal.

The Lilywhites have only managed to win a miserable two of their 11 home league games this season and Thomas Frank is under intense pressure despite his side moving directly into the Champions League last-16 this week.

For Pep Guardiola, victory here is paramount in order to maintain pressure on Arsenal, who went into this weekend without a Premier League win in three attempts.

Tottenham vs Man City tips

  • Manchester City to win & both teams to score @ 2/1
  • Erling Haaland to score first @ 12/5
  • Antoine Semenyo to be booked @ 7/2

City to increase Frank’s problems

Victory in Frankfurt in midweek ensured Tottenham finished fourth in the Champions League table, but that is at great odds with their domestic form.

If results go against them, Tottenham could be as low as 16th come kick-off, threatening to repeat the dire league showing that ultimately cost Ange Postecoglou his job last summer despite the Aussie delivering on his promise of silverware.

Two Premier League wins from 11 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a key contributing factor in Spurs’ malaise – only Wolves have fewer points in front of their own fans.

City have won their last two league visits to this stadium, banishing memories of their previous struggles. They can take all the points against but Spurs have scored in eight of their last 11 games against City and in 10 straight home games in all competitions. They can play their part.

Haaland to light the touch paper

Prior to his midweek goal against Galatasaray, City ace Erling Haaland had scored just once in nine games, a veritable famine for the prolific Norwegian.

He will be pleased to be back on track and should relish facing Tottenham, a side against which he has scored four times in seven prior engagements.

Spurs will be on red alert to try and thwart Haaland. He has scored in three games against the Lilywhites and City have won them all, while it is three defeats and a draw in games where the big frontman has failed to find the net.

Semenyo a card magnet against Tottenham

City new-boy Antoine Semenyo comes up against Spurs for the second time in 2026. He fired a dramatic winner for Bournemouth in their 3-2 Vitality Stadium win, which proved to be his Cherries swansong.

The 26-year-old earned a first-half caution in that contest, taking his tally of bookings against Tottenham to four, including in each of his last three appearances.

He’s got six bookings this season in the league for Bournemouth, and, clearly, facing Spurs brings out his most caution-likely traits. He’ll be a major threat to this Tottenham defence and they may want to get up close and personal, which could lead the winger to another booking.
