Tottenham vs Crystal Palace predictions

The relegation battle is becoming more tense by the week as Spurs equaled their longest winless run in the Premier League, after their 2-1 loss away to Fulham on Sunday.

Igor Tudor has lost his first two matches in charge, but can they snap their 10-match winless streak at home to Palace on Thursday?

Tottenham haven’t got a point in their last four top-flight matches, but a win could catapult them above Leeds into 15th place and alleviate any immediate relegation fears.

Tudor has tried to mix things up, looking for a spark from his players. But have conceded six and scored just two goals in his first two weeks in charge.

He should have Kevin Danso back in defence to partner Micky van de Ven, which Tudor will hope solidifies the backline.

Their opponents are six points better off in 14th place and could go to within two points of the top 10 with victory.

However, Palace will have to do without centre back Maxence Lacroix after his red card against Manchester United on Sunday.

This disruption in the back line could gift Spurs a chance to exploit the away side if they are slow to get to grips with the altered personnel.

Former Spurs man Brennan Johnson, who scored the winning goal in the Europa League final last season, could well be in the Palace starting eleven, partnering Ismaila Sarr and Jorgen Strand-Larsen in attack.

Both these sides are by no means out of the woods of relegation just yet. With Spurs spiraling towards the drop zone and desperate for three points on Thursday night.

This match could be a low scoring affair, with under 2.5 goals at Evens coming into to play if both sides struggle in front of goal.

However, if you’re looking in the goalscorer market in this one, Palace-loanee Evan Guessand has found the net against Zrinjski Mostar and Wolves in his last few appearances.

Even if the French forward doesn’t start he could be a good anytime goalscorer play with not many of the strikers on show in a great vein of form.

Oliver Glasner has been very critical of the club and it’s model over the course of the season. But as he goes into the last few months in charge of the club, he’ll want to ensure they are comfortable in mid-table to mount a serious charge at the Conference League.

While both sides form isn’t great, Palace may look at Spurs’ dismal home form coupled with the fact six of their nine Premier League wins have come on the road, as a reason why they may fancy themselves for all three points.

Spurs need one result to snap them back into gear. Their form shows no signs of this happening. But they do still have individuals in the team that can produce the moment of magic required.
