Those who live in Seattle are used to seeing the ground shake.

When NFL Playoff action landed at Lumen Field in 2011, Seahawks star Marshawn Lynch ripped off an iconic 67-yard touchdown against the New Orleans Saints, and fans inside the stadium caused an earthquake that registered on a nearby seismometer.

That moment became known as Beast Quake: A play on the running back’s ‘Beast Mode’ nickname and the subsequent seismic activity that followed.

Now, 15 years on, and fans might need to find a name for a new earth-shaking hero who has put them on the path to Super Bowl LX.

Seattle fans cause another quake in playoff win

The No. 1-seeded Seahawks hosted the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night, with a spot in the NFC Championship Game up for grabs.

Seattle got off to the perfect start when Rashid Shaheed fielded the opening kickoff at his team’s 5-yard line.

He burst right through a seam in the middle of the field, before skipping past Niners kicker Eddy Pineiro — their last line of defense — and into the end zone for a 95-yard touchdown.

The moment, unsurprisingly, sent those inside Lumen Field wild, and the ‘quake’ that was created by cheering and stomping fans registered on the seismometer once more.

An official X account for the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) shared a video of the score that was synced up to the ‘ground motion’ caused by the 68,000 NFL fans inside the stadium.

News that Shaheed had caused a mini-quake then quickly went viral online, with plenty of people reacting to one of the most electric kick returns in recent memory.

“RashidQuake,” one dubbed the moment.

“We callin’ that the SPEED QUAKE or else,” another said, disputing the nickname.

“Full circle moment. Was at the Beast Quake game as a Saints fan and now a former Saint caused one,” a third said, noting that the Seahawks had signed Shaheed from New Orleans just two months ago.

“That place is rocking. On the bucket list to make it to a game there one day,” a fourth said.

Whatever you wish to call it — the ‘RashidQuake’ or the ‘SpeedQuake’ — there’s no doubt that Shaheed’s early score was felt throughout the stadium.

Even Tom Brady, sat in the Fox Sports booth, referenced it on commentary.

“I definitely felt a rumble,” the seven-time Super Bowl winner said.

“On the Richter scale, that had to have registered something. That was so loud.

“I was not here for the Beast Quake, but I can’t imagine it being much louder than what I just saw there.”

Shaheed’s 95-yard run set the tone in the stands and on the field, and Seattle never looked back.

The Seahawks dominated San Francisco 41-6 to advance to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 2014 season.

They will host the title game against the Los Angeles Rams or Chicago Bears next Sunday, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the ground shakes once again.
