Tom Brady attacked by former teammates over Super Bowl LX verdict as Dave Portnoy pleads with fans
Tom Brady’s comments on Super Bowl LX have started a civil war.
On February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the New England Patriots will take on the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite spending two decades with the Patriots, where he spearheaded one of the NFL‘s greatest ever dynasties and won six rings, Brady claimed he doesn’t “have a dog in the fight” for Super Bowl LX.
Instead, the $375 million Fox Sports analyst made the diplomatic admission that he just wants to see “good football” being played.
To say this didn’t go down well with some of Brady’s former teammates would be an understatement.
Asante Samuel, who spent the first five seasons of his 11-year NFL career with the Patriots, winning two Super Bowl rings with Brady, called out the 48-year-old for his comments.
“Tom Brady, I am highly — I mean highly — disappointed in you not rooting for your ex‑teammate, Mike Vrabel, who is about to do something special,” Samuel said on X (formerly Twitter).
“I’m going to fye your a** up one of these mornings. Tag Brady, let him know I’m on his a**.”
“Brady, you can’t be the only one winning Super Bowls,” Samuel added in a follow-up tweet.
“Let me find out you hating on Drake Maye and [Mike] Vrabel. ‘I don’t have a dog in this fight’ — not what I wanted to hear.
“Brady knows how I get down. This ain’t nothing new to him.”
Samuel’s sentiments were echoed by former Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, who also didn’t take too kindly to the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders‘ comments.

“That’s bull c***, Tom… come on now. This ain’t political… Raiders ain’t in it. Say what it is,” Wilfork said on an appearance on WEEI 93.7 on Wednesday. “
“At the end of the day if you a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t give me that political bull c***.
“If you don’t think we’re gonna win, just pick Seattle then. Don’t startle the fence.”
Portnoy’s attempt for Pats fans to turn on a legend
But die-hard Patriots fan and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy took things one step further.
Enraged by the comments of his once-hailed ‘GOAT’ status quarterback, Portnoy has urged for fellow New England fans to turn away and move on from Brady.
“This is for Patriots fans eyes only,” Portnoy posted to X on Tuesday night. “I don’t want to leave anything unsaid before the Super Bowl. So I’m just gonna say this and move on.
“I think it’s bulls*** Tom Brady said he has no dog in the fight for the Super Bowl.

“It’s pretty obvious he doesn’t give a s*** about us anymore so maybe we shouldn’t care about him either. Maybe it was just professional and that’s fine.”
Brady is so highly-regarded in Foxborough, that the team even built him a 12-foot bronze statue outside of Gillette Stadium to honor his legacy as a member of the Patriots.
But there is now new quarterback in town in the form of second-year pro and MVP candidate Drake Maye.
Under the leadership of Brady’s former teammate Mike Vrabel, there is now an opportunity to usher in a new era of Patriots football, and even form a new dynasty of their own.
But they have to win that coveted first Super Bowl trophy together first, where overcoming the ‘Dark Side’ Seahawks defense and veteran quarterback Sam Darnold will be no easy feat.
